The allergen lists are updated frequently to ensure that any changes in procedures or manufacturers are noted to the best of their abilities. Red Robin does a wonderful job of catering to those with all kinds of sensitivities, not just gluten-free. The yellow baskets are for orders that are gluten-free or have some other kind of allergen red flag. There were many times when I felt lucky to get a plain burger, baked potato, and salad with oil & vinegar.ĭoesn’t that look amazing? If you have previously dined at Red Robin, you know that the baskets that the food comes in are typically red. It used to be that there were few options if any. If you have been following the gluten-free diet for any amount of time, especially before it became so mainstream, you know what I mean. Having the bun option certainly made the choices harder, but that was something that I was thrilled about. I had ordered the same chicken sandwich protein-style (wrapped in lettuce) the last time I had been to Red Robin and fell in love. ![]() I went in with the intention of having a burger but ended up ordering the chicken Caprese sandwich. When they asked where I wanted to go to eat, Red Robin popped into my head immediately. ![]() Everything was so delicious, and I am so happy with the precautions they took.We headed out last night to meet up with my dad, stepmom, and sister for a belated birthday dinner for me. And the fries came out marked with a purple pick so everyone knew they were mine, made in the special fryer. I would’ve had no idea that it was gluten free. I was hesitant to do the bun instead of a lettuce wrap because I was afraid it would be dry and unpleasant, but the bun turned out amazing. Then I got the guacamole bacon burger with a gluten free bun. I double checked and they said the chips are fried in a separate fryer, that the whole appetizer is gluten free. We got the artichoke dip with tortilla chips. The gluten free one is separate, like you check which allergen you can’t have and it will list the safe foods. Because of the pandemic, all the menus are online. They both knew that they have a dedicated fryer for allergies. Man, I am SO happy! The host knew a little bit about precautions, but the server knew a lot. That being said the food was amazing, just be careful which fries you eat. Now my stomach hates me, yay for tonight. His response was do you want 2 orders of the allergy fries? No I only wanted the gluten I free fries from the gluten free fryer. I was like I just ate these because you said the fries had a dedicated fryer NOT 2 separate fryers! What am I supposed to do now, I should have known it was too good to be true. He's like we do but we also have a regular fryer and that's what all the fries have been. I was like what do you mean you said you had a dedicated fryer. Our food comes out and everyone's had fries but mine and he's like there's still a few minutes on your allergy fries. I'm not gonna lie, I ate a basket to myself, there was 5 of us total - me being the only celiac. Great, I'm starving and haven't had fries in forever. Our server brought out 4 baskets of fries said our food will be out shortly. I was overjoyed, ordered my burger with a gf bun. Upon arrival I asked our server about their fries if they had a dedicated fryer he told me yes and told me he would make sure to remind the cooks to change gloves and be extra careful as well since it was an allergy. ![]() Went here for a birthday for a normal person, thinking I'd be as safe as i could be simce the reviews were good for allergies here.
